Thanks again for the inclusion! 😄

I really found the "Moratorium on 'wife guys'" an interesting post. It's reminiscent of a great deal of what my twin brother has told me over the years, but staggering to see it all laid out like that.

I thought it reflected the reality of the landscape very well. I don't think berating people for not doing what they ultimately wish they could be doing is helpful at all. It doesn't solve the problem. It only creates additional negativity surrounding the problem. We need to stay growth and solution focused! :)

Loved your piece and thought your breakdown of digital solutions by comfort level, lifestyle, and personality type was super helpful as well!! Thank you!! :)

I noticed that you quoted (in the restack) my broad statement about people not trying to build consensus. This was partially based on reflecting that I myself take very polarized stances on the various styles but try to tone it down when writing about it... I'm glad my not-so-subtle hint for the broader 'freedom fighting' community hasn't gone unnoticed!

The negativity / shame-driven motivation issue is a big one as well. I think part of it is that people are trying to emulate the tone the system uses to herd people in various directions. This is of course pointless if we're actually trying to change things. I find you and many others here a great breath of fresh air when it comes to realizing that a different tone is sorely needed. By presenting what should be done as an opportunity and not a mandated threshold to cross, it's easy to be more inspired rather than disheartened!

Thank you so much! I think we've all tried the bit where we thought we could affect change from inside the set parameters. Some are still doing it. And eventually we see that we can't and we realize it's not that the system was subverted or broken - it's that it is functioning in precisely the way it was designed to work. We don't own it. It's not ours. We need to create something new from completely outside of it to get anywhere.
