So, this was a cool surprise!
Last year, prolific novelist, artist, chef, childhood bestie, and all around awesome guy Alexander Ferrar wrote a book based on my research and dedicated it to me.
It’s called The Factory of Lies, The Great Reset II.
Last night, I saw Alex was trying to send me a pretty big file, so I pinged him to ask him if he was butt-dialing me.
The last time someone butt-dialed me - not even kidding - I was serenaded by 3,000 screaming men in an auditorium singing “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’.”
That wasn’t Alex who had butt-dialed me that day, but ever since, butt-dialing makes me laugh really hard, and I basically accuse just about everyone of doing it. (Thanks, Maverick!)
As it turns out, this was NOT a butt-file-dial.
Alex was sending me the video below, which is of him reading an excerpt from the novel!
So, I thought I’d share this with all of you!
(The backdrop behind Alex is beautiful Antigua, Guatemala, where Alex has his restaurant/art gallery and exotic ice cream shop. If you’re ever in Antigua, stop by Sobremesa, ask for Alex, hang out, grab a bite, and tell him that you read SFC!)
Fun Demi trivia: I make a cameo as a character in book one of Alex’s series Memoirs of a Swine.
In the scene where my character appears, she is at a coffee shop giving advice to the character who is based on Alex, Johnny Yen.
I wonder if we can get Alex to read that chapter too!
I’ll keep you posted….
Can’t wait!
Wow! Congratulations. What a talented guy. That video clip of the book is funny in the most disturbing way... I look forward to checking it out. I had hoped to go to Guatemala at some point. I will put his gallery on my list.
